Several HBCUs have surprised everyone by announcing their homecoming dates and opponents earlier than expected. For instance, North Carolina A&T revealed the date of the 2024 GHOE festivities before the 2023 homecoming had even ended. Other institutions followed suit, and some even announced their homecoming dates before unveiling their full football schedule.
