Prairie View A&M head coach Tremaine Jackson is making sure no fan is left behind for Saturday’s pivotal game against Alabama State.
He is offering free tickets to anyone affected by the government shutdown.
Jackson’s gesture, announced in a social media video, aims to unite Panther Nation for a high-stakes SWAC battle against Alabama State while supporting community members facing financial hardship.
“We’re still not sold out, and this week, we’re doing something special,” Jackson said in a social media post. “If you’ve in any way been affected by the government shutdown, all you have to do is come to will call with your federal ID, and I’m personally gonna buy your ticket to the game. That way, you guys can get out and have a good time.”
The coach called on supporters to pack the stadium for the 2 p.m. kickoff.

Panthers Set for Big SWAC Matchup
Jackson’s Panthers are set to face off against Alabama State, who are riding high after a decisive win in the Magic City Classic and come into the game with momentum in SWAC play.
Prairie View, the lone undefeated team in the SWAC, aims to leverage its home-field advantage and make Panther Stadium a fortress with the help of an energized crowd.
By offering complimentary tickets to those affected by the federal shutdown, Jackson is prioritizing the Prairie View community and ensuring that no devoted fan is left behind during a time of uncertainty.
