Alcorn State is introducing fresh voices to its 2025 football season coverage.
The 4Kasters, a group of young sports reporters, will take on sideline duties this fall.
“These budding broadcasters will conduct exclusive interviews with players, coaches, and fans during home games, offering a fun, youthful perspective on Braves football, the school said in a news release.
Who are the 4Kasters?
The 4Kasters – a play on both “casters” and “4K” quality – bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a new level of engagement to the Alcorn game day experience.
“With microphones in hand and press badges around their necks, these mini media professionals are ready to ask the big questions and highlight the heart of the action from the field to the fans in the stands,” the school said.
“Alcorn has always embraced innovation and community,” said Alcorn State Athletic Director E. D’Wayne Robinson. “With the 4Kasters, we’re combining both. This initiative gives kids an incredible opportunity to grow and engage while connecting fans to the game in a whole new way.”
Fans can catch the 4Kasters on the jumbotron during home games, on Alcorn Athletics’ social media channels, and in special features throughout the season.
“Whether it’s getting the scoop from a star running back or asking a young Braves fan about their favorite player, the 4Kasters are ready to bring the energy, excitement, and questions everyone wants answered, ” officials said.
