Former Winston-Salem State star quarterback Daylin Lee is on his way to Nashville, announcing his commitment to Tennessee State.
Lee joins Tennessee State with two years of eligibility remaining, overtaking offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alcorn State.
In his three seasons at WSSU, Lee tallied 5,619 passing yards, completing 58% of his passes, and scoring 55 touchdowns to 18 interceptions.
He was named to the All-CIAA Second team in 2023 after finishing second in the conference in passing across the board.
In 2024, the Rams’ star helped lead the team to a 7-3 overall record, marking their first winning season since 2018.
Lee will now join a Tennessee State team that is entering its second season under head coach Reggie Barlow.
Following a historic 2024 season in which they won a share of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) title and qualified for the FCS playoffs, the Tigers were unable to replicate that success in 2025.
Tennessee State finished the year with a 2-10 overall record and a winless 0-8 record in OVC play. This served as the first time TSU has finished winless in conference play since 2010.
