Tennessee State football suffered a huge blow this weekend as sophomore defensive back Camani Cobbs announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal, just 13 days before the Tigers’ opening game against North Carolina A&T.
I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility. Thank you Tennessee State University for allowing me to develop and build as a man on and off the field. pic.twitter.com/vnXnoGKHyR

Cobbs, a redshirt sophomore from McDonough, Georgia, joined TSU from Big South-OVC rival Southeastern Missouri last season. He appeared in seven games for the Tigers, recording seven total tackles and two pass break-ups.
Cobbs was named a BOXTOROW 2025 HBCU All-American coming into this season.
