Arkansas-Pine Bluff guard Zaay Green is transferring to Alabama

Zaay Green’s college journey will continue at Alabama, she announced on her Instagram page on Saturday evening.

Green previously spent two seasons at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, where she led the Golden Lions to the Southwestern Athletic Conference women’s basketball championship game in 2023 and the semifinals in 2024. She spent parts of three seasons at Tennessee and Texas A&M before transferring to UAPB.

Green, a 6-foot-2 guard from Duncanville, Texas, averaged 16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 55 games at UAPB, and was named first-team all-SWAC this past season.

Green is the latest transfer to leave Arkansas-Pine Bluff after head coach Dawn Thornton took that same job at Alabama A&M.
