On Tuesday, Morehouse released their 2024 football schedule.

The 10-game docket features eight games against SIAC opponents, with the Maroon Tigers facing two out-of-conference foes.

Morehouse opens the season on Aug. 31 against Edward Waters University. Last year, the Maroon Tigers were blasted by Waters, 44-13. Morehouse holds an all-time mark of 6-3 against EWU but has lost the last three matchups.

The Maroon Tigers face out-of-conference opponents in back-to-back weeks, hosting the CIAA’s Johnson C. Smith on Sept. 7. The Golden Bulls land Marron Tigers last faced off September 19, 2015, with Morehouse edging out JCSU 37-35.

That matchup is followed with the MEAC’s Howard University in the 3rd annual HBCU NY Classic on Sept. 14 at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The teams met in a home game for Howard, and the Bison blew out the Maroon Tigers 65-19.

Morehouse returns to SIAC play at Kentucky State on Sept. 21. The Thoroughbreds snuck past the Tigers 23-21 last season.

They host defending SIAC champions Benedict in their first home game in three weeks. Benedict handed Morehouse a 27-3 defeat last season during their undefeated run through the conference.

Morehouse travels to Columbus, Georgia, to face Tuskegee in the Morehouse-Tuskegee Football Classic on Oct. 8. The Golden Tigers defeated the Maroon Tigers 40-28 last year.

After a bye week on Oct.12, Morehouse returns to action at Albany State. The Golden Rams have defeated the Morehouse on 12 consecutive occasions, including 24-14 in 2023.

Morehouse welcomes Fort Valley to Harvey Stadium for homecoming on Oct. 26, seeking payback for the 31-3 loss the Wildcats laid on the Maroon Tigers last October.

Miles College awaits Morehouse on Nov. 2. Miles defeated the Morehouse 36-22 last season, their third straight win over the Maroon Tigers.

Morehouse ends the season facing their rival Clark Atlanta University, or as identified on the schedule as “The Neighbors,” on Nov. 4. Last year, the Maroon Tigers defeated the Panthers 35-21 for their only win.
